We are in a transition period, between the end of Assemblaggi Provvisori and the launch of the new project for 2018. A period of noisy calm in which the lull is only apparent and silent sounds nestle in the sea of developing ideas. In this magma, filaments of unfinished projects resurface and return to fill up the spaces at Scompiglio. Some, more insistent than others, perhaps because they are only just touched on, impose their presence and direct us towards places not unknown to us, such as “Made in Italy 3x1”, which in this case manifests itself through the visionary talent of the great pianist Antonello Salis, or “John Cage: 4’33’’ Lezione sui funghi”, which takes us to a new awareness of sound-tone through the magnificent world of percussion by young percussionists conducted by Antonio Caggiano.

Masterclass/Workshop

on the literature of percussion instruments in the XIX Century

DIRECTED BY ANTONIO CAGGIANO

This workshop arises from the idea of the Associazione Culturale Dello Scompiglio to offer to young musicians an opportunity to experience a high level training in the field of percussion instruments.

There are only 12 places for students of music schools in the region. The workshop will last three days, ending with a final concert. Attendees will examine the analysis and the execution techniques of important percussion music pieces by important authors of the previous century, such as J. Cage, S. Reich, J. Xenakis, S. Sciarrino, G. Sollima, A. Piazzolla.

A participation certificate will be granted to attendees.
