On 26 September at 9:00 p.m., the Orchestra della Toscana, one of the most interesting orchestral groups, both nationally and internationally, will perform a symphony concert at the Giglio Theatre in Lucca. The Tuscan group, led by Valerio Galli, a young director born in Viareggio and raised ‘…with Puccini in the blood...’ will delight the public with a very special program.
The concertwill open with “Sciliar” by Giorgio Battistelli, a piece inspired by the mountain range that extends between Bolzano and Trento, a place of worship since the Bronze Age, a place dedicated since time immemorial to the dreams, aspirations and desires of human beings, as the artistic director of ORT himself explains: “Not a descriptive composition, least of all an illustrative one, Sciliar is the musical vision of a mythical and autobiographical motif in which the ear and the eye search for the divine, while an internal voice articulates the bewitching, liquid and resonant phonemes of the Ladin."
From the contemporary to eighteenth century classicism with the Concert for flute, harp and orchestra K.299 and Concert for clarinet K.622 by Mozart. Starring the leading musicians of the ORT, with Fabio Fabbrizzi on flute, Marco Ortolani on clarinet and the harpist Cinzia Conte. “This concert…” explains Antonio Caggiano, the artistic director of the project Mozart, così fan tutti “… consolidates the collaborative relationship between the Dello Scompiglio enterprise and the land, a relationship to which the Associazione Culturale has always paid particular attention”.
