September Paths of Fairytales
SUMMER SEASON DEDICATED TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

This year again, Associazione Culturale Dello Scompiglio presents a summer season dedicated to children and families: two open-air weekends with various events, including creative workshops, themed walks and theatre shows in the outdoor spaces of the Tenuta. An opportunity for children to play outside the domestic sphere and for everyone to rediscover the nature of the estate, where majestic trees, nymphaea, and wooded areas alternate with vineyards and agricultural areas, different environments and forms in a single garden. The festival will be held on 6th and 7th June and on 5th and 6th September 2026, with different programmes.

WORKSHOPS

Fantastic Notebooks – Books to Invent
Curated by RecuperARTI

This workshop is dedicated to the creation of small, handcrafted notebooks, stitched books made from reclaimed materials, coloured paper and fabrics. Using simple folding, assembly and creative binding techniques, each participant will be able to construct a unique and personal object, to decorate with collages, cutouts, threads, textures and graphic details.  These notebooks will become little spaces for imagination and storytelling, a place to hold drawings, thoughts, stories, notes and inventions. The workshop celebrates hands-on creation and the joy of transformation, encouraging everyone to freely experiment with shapes and materials.

Understanding Science with Illustrated Books – Seeds and Fruits
Curated by Rossana Tanzi

Illustrated books are an extraordinary tool for understanding the world; by reading a selection of books and a series of practical and creative activities we will explore the world of plants, discovering the journey of seeds, from the flowers that add colour to meadows and gardens, attract insects and perfume the air, to the fruits that ripen, change shape and safeguard seeds ready to give new life. The event will include readings, small experiments and exploration of nature, and will conclude with a creative moment in which everyone can capture their observations on paper using mixed techniques including drawing and collage.

La Regina delle nevi (The Snow Queen)
Adaptation of the fairy tale by H.C. Andersen

directors Marco Conti, Flavia Giovannelli
performed by Camilla dell’Agnola, Marco Conti, Maria Chiara Pellitteri
music by Mara Kitharatzis
scenery Carmela Spiteri
costumes Fernanda Pessolano
a production by Culturasì

“In the Snow Queen’s castle, everything is so cold and empty”, says young Kai, after escaping the icy grip of the Queen who had kidnapped him.  Kai and Gerda are great friends, but one day a shard of glass from the devil’s magic mirror gets stuck in the boy’s heart and eyes, profoundly altering his perception of the world. This story tells of the difficult transition from childhood to adolescence, a delicate phase for young people during which the powers of thought emerge vigorously and demand to be exercised. However, these forces must always be tempered and “warmed” by the heart, if a healthy balance between feeling and critical thinking is to be maintained.
