Over the years and the course of her path, a subtle play of references has led Rosy Rox (born Naples, 1976, where she lives and works) to intelligently alternate the narcissistic inclusion of her own body with the ostension of her idols in order to then extend, progressively, to the symbols and metaphors related to them. Concentrating on the themes ascribed to the female identity, the provocative Rosy Rox establishes a fragmented universe, suspended between irony and seduction, lust and innocence, aggression and temptation. Her poetry underlies an alienating universe, suspended between the imaginary and the symbolic, inhabited by seductive works, attractive and repulsive, captivating but at the same time threatening, that plays on the stereotype of “fatal” feminine seduction and charged with ambivalent messages. In “Frammento archetipo”, produced by the Associazione Culturale Dello Scompiglio, Rosy Rox metaphorically crosses social, cultural and psychological conventions and constructs, examining, with the aid of a profusion of symbols, the complexity of existence and its irreducible dichotomies.
