Two stories, two ‘snails’.

Luca, known as ‘the snail’, is a slow kid, in everything. He never comes first, in anything. But he lives in a world that does not accept his slowness. Everyone would like him to be faster and meanwhile they laugh at him and isolate him. Sofia, on the other hand, is a real snail. In her world, slowness is the norm.

But the other snails drive her away because she has a mind that travels fast and wants to understand the meaning of slowness, so that she can accept it. Luca, the little boy called ‘the snail’, will also understand, thanks to the help of a gardener, a ‘master of life’, that slowness is an indispensable condition for grasping the profoundness of things and the beauty of the world and nature.

He will also understand that one can take care of things in the right way only with calm and dedication. Even Sofia, the snail, thanks to an encounter with a turtle and an owl, will understand how to accept her nature and the value of slowness.

A show in which Marco Continanza carries us into the story, thanks to his acknowledged narrative skills, playing many characters, both human and animal, creating a large number of images with just his body and his voice.
