Untail 2000.16 inhabits an intermediate zone in space and time, a penumbra of the senses, where flesh dissolves into a ghostly substance. Untail is an invented word that sounds familiar, identified by a number, 2000.16, as if the time and the way of seeing were that of a visit to the museum of natural history and its cabinets of wonders. Through the concept of homology, in biology we can point at profound similarities between the different functions of specific structures belonging to different species; in the same way the body and the objects presented in the redesigned space of the chapel, are layered one over the other, their outlines dissolving in a movement that examines the virtuality of their inner perspective and their own form, through the substance of their edges and the motility of their joints. The pitiful role of the unusual and autobiographical element is short-circuited by its non visible appearance opening up the possibility of a fading of the senses. There is always something missing which becomes less and that, in backing out, opens the space of familiarity, a vague, darkened zone that shares its story segment with an analogic elusiveness.
