Little Red Riding Hood is an ancient fairy tale which has been told in many different versions and readings. It is revisited in this project with all the respect due to a classic fable; as original as the elements of which it is composed and which are shown at the beginning of the show. Real objects generated by stories, evocative of a time and almost magical in their simplicity, the strawberries, the rock, the cake are the real finds of an exhibit that the children can observe up close, feeding the spectator’s curiosity and preparing their minds to reflect on the ritual nature of the fairy tale.
As the oral narration suggests, a single figure unites the entire architecture of the show, fusing scenery, costumes, objects and animation, into a single artefact which in the same way, as one, generate characters, actions, objects and plot twists: almost like a pop-up with a resemblance to a human, a living fairy tale that is worn like a dress and operated from inside. A “portable”, wearable play.
