Children's Camp
10-14 - 17-21 and 24-28 June 2013
The Dello Scompiglio Camp is a moment separate and different from that in which children usually live: not school, not holiday, not summer camp with sports activities. The location where the camp takes place is outside of the usual paths taken by children and therefore can be an on-going stimulus to encourage activities and games of ideas and energy. For three weeks a year Dello Scompiglio opens its doors to children, showing them what goes on inside and inviting them to actively participate in the pulsating life of the place.
This year the link between the children and the place will again be the educators; expert trainers in the field of performing and educative arts, and colleagues of the farm, forest and restaurant, who will provide their expertise and knowledge. It is through the language of play that the children will be guided in the discovery of the places, work and activities that characterise the property and which allow space for a journey of exploration, for expanding their range of skills and knowledge, to stimulate and enrich the ability of each one, to find new areas of play and to meet others.
PROGRAMME
The children will trek in the forest, visit the biodynamic vegetable gardens to pick produce, go into the woods to observe the work of our experts, hear about the plants and animals there, learn about the activities of the bees in the hives, make pizza with Lando and eat organic lunch in our restaurant. One morning a week they will be involved in water games in the swimming pool of the Tenuta, and two morning are dedicated to circus plays.
In particular the third week will be dedicated to circus plays with 5 mornings workshop.
The "Festival of Theatre for Children" will take place on Sunday 9 June, open from 10:00 to 20:00, with 3 theatre shows for children aged 3 to 12 and accompanying adults.
The Camp will be held from Monday 10 to Friday 14 June - from Monday 17 to Friday 21 June and from Monday 24 to Friday 28 June from 08:00 to 17:00
Age of children: from 6 to 10 years.
Prices: euros 120,00 per week per person, included lunch at the Cucina Dello Scompiglio or packed-lunch in case of full day excursion.
