Disintegrazione 2.0 is a live multimedia performance that sees the three performers enclosed in a cubic structure, immersed in video projections. A path of destruction and reconstruction of the characters and their words in a dreamlike journey made of voices, sounds and images, which lead the viewer to experience contrasting suggestions and sensations, of disagreement and understanding, empathy and rejection.
Through the words of David Bowie, Norma Jeane Mortenson, The Cure, Joy Division, Amalia Rosselli, Mariangela Gualtieri, Anne Sexton, Ricci-Forte and other original texts by the collective, the performers deliver a hybrid creative experience, a journey of the spirit that disturbs the soul and tells the stories of the roads, the thousands that can be travelled and retraced, the mud of consciousness and the abyss into which one can sink, without return: an experience that absolutely is not ordinary.
In the words of the collective: “On stage, we simply share with the audience what we are, which means a lot of different things that many people are inclined to misjudge and hate: an executioner, a schizophrenic, a martyr, an addict, a rock star, a witch. Time travellers, subversives, mutineers, heretics, anarchists. The plague and the cure. The abomination and the enchantment. In a word: performer.”
Born during the lockdown of 2020, Electroshocktherapy (EST) is a collective created by Paky Di Maio, musician and sound designer, Ilaria Delli Paoli, actor and performer, and Francesco Zentwo Palladino, designer and visual artist. Collaborating with different artists, they experiment with new languages and collective creative possibilities, giving life to multimedia performances of theatre, electronic music and visual art.
